How to assess your green fraud risks

Posted by PricewaterhouseCoopers on May 20th, 2011 at 7:51am

Recent cyber attacks by fraudsters on the world’s largest and one of the most high profile of the emerging environmental markets – the European Union Emissions Trading Scheme – forced trading to be suspended. In a new paper by PwC, How to assess your green fraud risks, we explore fraud risks in the sustainability market and the steps you should take to mitigate or eliminate them. This paper provides a background to the carbon markets (emissions trading, project based and voluntary).  We examine the fraud, bribery and corruption risks companies face when engaging in these markets, including reporting on them, and we consider the actions you can take to protect your organisation. The paper also considers potential new areas of green fraud risk.
